How to get involved in what we're doing
There are a number of opportunities for you to be involved in the work that we do.
You could be a Member of SREC, becoming a SREC Trustee or Volunteering for SREC. We are working for our local community and any support that you can give us is always welcome. Why not come down to the office and see what we're doing and think about how you would like to be involved. Regardless of what it is that you decide to do being a member is the start of that journey; read on to find out why...

* After six months as a SREC member you can apply to become a Trustee.
We will invite you to:
Tell us what you think on key issues
From time to time we will ask your opinion on issues of concern to the charity and our plans for the future. You are also welcome to share your ideas and opinions with us at anytime.
Comment on local decision-making
We’ll send you invitations to take part in a range of consultations and activities that SREC is privy to. Should you be interested in any of them, it will present an opportunity for you to engage and respond to community issues and make your voice heard.
Take part in Trustee elections
The majority of our Trustees are elected by our members. This takes place annually and can be done by post or in person at the Annual General Meeting. Information will be sent out at the appropriate time.
Attend the Annual General Meeting
As a charity, we are accountable to our members. Through the membership newsletter, we will keep you up to date with new developments at the charity. As a member, you can attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and speak directly with the Board about our work. We will send you papers in advance to let you know when the AGM is being held.
