Would you like to volunteer your time and services in your community?

SREC Trustees

SREC are looking for volunteers to join their Executive Committee.

The board is responsible for:

  • giving direction to the organisation
  • managing people (paid staff and volunteers)
  • making sure the organisation is accountable and acting according to the law
  • sourcing and managing resources
  • long-term planning

You may be asked to represent SREC on the local authority and pan-London forum.

Their may also be the opportunity to get involved in specific projects, such as helping with the development of the Football programme.

SREC Supporter

SREC do not currently have a formal volunteering programme.

We however encourage people to get in touch if they have a commitment to the work of the Racial Equality Council, a desire to help and talents that may be of benefit the organisation or a role for within an existing project.

Possible opportunities include befriending, translation and interpreting, victim support work for victims of racially-motivated crime.

There is also the opportunity to get involved in the sport and football programmes which run every school holiday except for Christmas, and which are open to local children aged 6-16.

If you are interested in any of the above opportunities please contact admin@suttonrec.org.uk with your name and contact details along with any special skill set and days that you may be able to volunteer your services.
